I'm Back!!

Hello Everyone!

Well it has been 3...5...7...9 months since my last post. Wow! I'm so sorry for my long silence, I'm going to try to update more regularly and I hope I will be sucsessful. This past year has been quite busy, so to catch y'all up, here's an overview of what we've done this past year:

On April 22nd, I was blessed with a new baby sister!

An updated Picture:)

Yes I know, she's a cutie.  The funny thing about having another little one in the house is that it's hard to remember what life was like before they were here, because it feels as if they were always here.  When Jane was born my aunt came down from Arkansas to see her, and while she was down we made plans for half of us to go up and spend two weeks with her in June. So June 1st, we met my aunt about half way, and Grace, Lily, and I went up until June 14th. We had a blast!

Lily on a bridge looking over a little pond. (which was really gross btw)

Me feeding the geese. It was kind of scary actually
because they were mean. The little boy behind
was super cute and thought it was funny when the geese
tried to bite my hand off, haha!

Grace was fearless.

skills, which she learned in Costa Rica.

Grace doing...er...I'm actually not sure what Grace was doing here, haha!

While my Aunt went to work during the week, we stayed home and tried to busy ourselves. One day my aunt gave us the idea to decorate some cardboard boxes she had laying around, so we took those out and some scrapbook stuff and they had at it.

We made a mess.

Lily wanted to make her box a car.

The Finished Project

We also had fun blowing bubbles!

At the end of the day, we would wind down with a game of  Skip-Bo, which I learned how to play while I was there and (not to sound conceited) but smoked everyone in. I blame it on beginner's luck  :-)

On June 11th, My mom and all of the other kids drove up there to pick us up and drop Sydney, Luke, and Faith off for two more weeks. We (everyone but Sydney, Luke, and Faith) stayed three more days and left on the following Saturday. While we were there I had the priveledge of watching Sydney and my cousin beat each other with plastic tennis rackets. (Playing, of course)

After we got back home, I did a couple of crafts, practiced music, read, and mostly just relaxed for the next two weeks.

The Divergent Trilogy

I just recently finished the Divergent Trilogy, and definitly reccomend reading them. Not only are they action packed, but the author is a Christian so she pulls out a lot of good points if you can spot them.

For the Fourth of July, we went to my uncle's house for our annual family get together, complete with Bar-b-que and a big waterslide!

Shiloh
The Kids loved the waterslide, the only time they got off was to eat, and when I tore it, but more on that later:)
Grace and Lily

Shiloh didn't like the big waterslide so she
stayed in the little pool.

She did, however, like the food!

Sydney also had a blast!

This is the new waterslide, the one I wasn't "allowed" to get on, haha! Here is how I tore the first: Sydney went down the slide first, and we heard what we thought was just Sydney hitting the side of the slide, until the air started going down a little. So we think she put a hole in the wall siding of the slide. Then i went right after her, and when I went down, one of my legs slid into the hole, and since I had so much momentum, I just kept going and ripped the stiching all of what was about six feet of the slide. It was quite an experience, haha! We ended up calling the company that the slide was from and getting a new on, so all was well :-)

Overall we've had a pretty good summer, and the best part, is that it isn't over quite yet:)
